Jacksonville, Ill. Before the snow could deter any action at the Bruner Fieldhouse on the Illinois College campus, men's and women's track and field athletes were fitting up their spikes for a fast-paced meet, featuring regionally ranked teams (Washington University and Monmouth College). Molly Dixon was one of the first performers for Principia College on the track in the 400-meter dash. She has been coming back from a delayed training period and gained some experience in one of her longer events. She came through the line in 1:06.81. Teammate Vanessa Ramirez-Jasso chipped off more time in her shortest event (60-meter dash), crossing the line in 9.27. Both Dixon and Ramirez-Jasso sprinted in the 200-meter dash, but in separate heats. Ramirez-Jasso ran a season-best 30.21, while Dixon came in at 28.53.
