Busy weekend for Track and FieldPublished by
Principia Track and Field had a busy weekend. On Friday, three multi-event athletes traveled to Bloomington, IL to compete at IWU's Keck Invitational. Freshman Chaz Wilcoxen, and junior Geoffrey Hibbs contested the heptathlon, and Tess Rountree contested the pentathlon. Tess had a fine afternoon and evening, finishing her events with 3078 points, which places her 18th in the nation. Wilcoxen got off to a fine start, winning the heptathlon shot put, but retiring after three events. Hibbs kept on, finishing on Saturday (with a fine 1000m run) with 3366 points.
