GRINNELL, IA. Men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Grinnell College for the Darren Young Classic where there were some great leaps of improvement for this indoor season from both the power and endurance groups. Tess Rountree advanced to the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and ran her second best time of the season in 9.73, as well as winning the high jump with a 1.63-meter clearance to win the event and tie her school record. Lyssa Winslow threw her near-best in the weight throw to 15.19 meters and is making steady progress through this indoor season. She concluded her day in throws with the shot put, advancing to finals with a best mark of 12.59 meters, while coming off of a hard training week.
