Elsah, Ill. -- The Principia College men's and women's cross country teams had an excellent home Cowbell Classic race. The Cowbell Classic had its largest number yet with 61 men and 73 women racing. The women's 6K started off at 11:00 am and it was the final home race for seniors Shontee Pant and Kyla Pelletier. Both women had family there to run with and cheer them on. Pant lead Principia with a 16th place finish at 25:14 and Pelletier had a 24th place finish at 25:41. First year runners Allegra Pierce (26:58), Hannah LePoidivan (29:31), and Kim Faukner (36:05) all attacked the course and had solid races for Principia. First year runner Alice Oloo had a personal record (PR) finish on the tough course at 27:47 and sophomore Gabriella Burns had a strong run at 30:55.
