Principia cross country competes at the SLIAC Conference meetPublished by
Louisville, KY- The Principia men's and women's cross country team had an excellent showing at the SLIAC (St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) championships. The weather was unseasonably warm and the men's team planned to run together and give for each other. They built an outstanding race using each other's strength. This culminated in a 1, 2, 3 finish. Junior Zach Matthiesen became SLIAC runner of the year with his first place finish of 25:34.2. Close behind junior Nate Richards took second with a time of 25:38.09. Freshman Michael Powell took third with a time of 26:09.59. Matthiesen, Richards, and Powell all earned all-conference first team. Read the full article at: www.principiaathletics.com
