LACROSSE, WISC. - In less than ideal conditions, Geoff Hibbs competed close to his home base at the University of Wisconsin - Lacrosse Last Chance Qualifier. All over the country student-athletes and their coaches, from multiple divisions, converge at approved NCAA locations (bid by the host schools) to attempt their best maximal performances in hopes of making the qualifying time, mark or height to enter their respective outdoor championships. Hibbs did not have his best meet, but threw the javelin 45.76 meters at the meet, just missing out on the final round for the men's javelin throw. A strong competitor and true student of the javelin, he will continue to make strong gains as he has done this season. He currently sits at seventh on the school's all-time top ten list, bumping himself up 3 places with nearly 10 feet of improved distance from his freshman year.
